Richard A. Soltero, Ph.D. at Magellan Laboratories

Dr. Richard A. Soltero has extensive experience in managing global Pharmaceutical R&D operations as well as multi-site and multi-national pharmaceutical and biotechnology testing laboratories. His experience is in ethical pharmaceutical development, consumer healthcare products and contract pharmaceutical development organizations. He is currently the Vice President, Laboratory Operations at Magellan Laboratories, Inc. in Research Triangle Park, NC. His responsibilities include overseeing the management of Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Raw Material Testing, Cleaning Validation, Computer Validation and Biotechnology laboratories.

Scientific Experience and Credentials
|
Dr. Soltero received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Rutgers University. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the NJ State College at Ramapo where he graduated number one in his class. His scientific pursuits include being a Scientific Reviewer for: The Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Analysis, Analytical Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Research. He was a Member of Governing Board of the Eastern Analytical Symposium (EAS) and active member of the American Association of Pharmaceuticals Scientists (AAPS). He founded the Analytical and Pharmaceutical Quality Newsletter and was the Editor-in-Chief from 1991 to 1994. In addition, he was the Chair of the Eastern Regional AAPS in1996 and the Chair of the Southeast Regional AAPS in 1998. He has over 35 scientific publications and presentations.
